About Us

Alyson

Alyson is (almost) a librarian with a deep love for Harry Potter, noodles, and cats. When she is not singing to her cat Gwen, Alyson spends her free time reading, drinking coffee, and binge-watching sci-fi and fantasy TV shows. Alyson blames her plethora of spinster-esque qualities on not being allowed to join the Boy Scouts at the age of 7, and plans to live vicariously through Nate’s Boy Scouts accomplishments for the rest of her life.

Nate

Nates in the business of collecting hobbies. As a recent graduate, Nate still holds the delusion that he will have more free time to pursue his hobbies now that he has a full-time job. Being a Software Developer in Denver has given Nate a fresh outlook on life that comes from pretending to be an adult. Alyson's willingness to drive across Kansas with only a cat for company solidified that Nate was marrying the right girl.

When & Where

Riechmann Pavilion at Stephens Lake Park

Ceremony

The wedding ceremony will begin at 5:00pm in Stephens Lake Park, outside on the grass behind the Riechmann Pavilion. We will keep it short, but there is no predicting the temperature in Missouri, so have a jacket just in case!

Reception

After the ceremony we will move inside Riechmann Pavilion for dinner, drinks, and dancing. Don’t worry about cash for the bar, drinks are on us!

Traveling and Staying

October 22nd is firstly our wedding date (yay) and secondly the date of the Mizzou homecoming football game (meh). This means that accommodations are few and far between inside the Columbia city limits.

We have secured a small block of hotel rooms on Saturday for out-of-town guests.
